“The main reason we chose Freedom Painting was because Byron was the only contractor who gave us an estimate for carpentry work, which turned out to be extensive on our 106 year old house. His price for paint was competitive and fair.”

“Freedom Painting presented me with a clear, concise cost estimate, had a talented crew who worked professionally and diligently throughout the project… having lived in this house for over 30 years with the house having been painted 3 other times, this is by far the best paint job we have received.”

What if you find more rot once you start?

It happens. Rot often hides behind paint and caulk. If we uncover more damage than expected, we stop, show you photos, and get your OK before doing any additional work. There are no surprise charges.

Do you replace full siding?

No. We replace individual rotten boards, trim, fascia, and soffits as part of preparing for paint. For full siding replacement or major water damage, a siding or restoration contractor is the right call, and we’re happy to point you in the right direction.

Can you fix carpenter bee damage?

Yes. We fill carpenter bee holes with wood filler, sand them smooth, and prime them before painting, so the damage disappears under the new finish.

Is repair work included in my painting quote?

Drywall patching, wood filling, and normal surface prep are included in your painting price. Carpentry, like replacing rotten boards, is listed as its own line item. Most repairs run $600–$3,400 plus materials, depending on the size of the job.

Do you do repairs without painting?

Our repairs are designed to lead into a paint job, so we usually pair them with painting. For small repair-only projects, give us a call and we’ll let you know if it’s a fit.

What materials do you use for replacements?

We replace damaged wood with treated lumber, fiber cement (like James Hardie), cedar, or PVC trim, matched to what’s already on your home whenever possible. For spots that keep rotting, like fascia, trim near the ground, or areas that stay damp, we can suggest switching to PVC, which won’t rot.
